Body Contouring is considered permanent, as long as you maintain a steady weight and regular exercise routine. Once the fat cells have been broken down in the targeted areas, your body will not produce new ones.
Body Contouring treatments are not substitutes for a healthy weight loss solution, but should instead be considered as a helpful way to get rid of the last, stubborn fat pockets. The best candidates are anyone who is close to their ideal weight and does not have a BMI over 30.
For most patients, three to six sessions are needed to achieve the results they want. We recommend doing treatments twice a week for four weeks for optimal results, followed by maintenance treatments as recommended by your nurse.
Some patients notice a difference after their first session. However, for more refined and long-lasting results, we strongly advise following the recommended number of sessions—especially for larger areas such as the abdomen and thigh area.
While everyone has varying levels of pain tolerance, most patients experience little to no pain and only minimal discomfort and would consider the treatments largely pain-free.
Stay away from caffeine and carbonated drinks for three to four hours before your session as well as 24 hours after. If the area(s) you are having treated are very hairy, you must shave one day before your session. However, make sure not to wax the area for at least a week before your appointment. To get the most out of your treatment, we recommend exfoliating before your appointment to activate the lymphatic system.
