Microneedling with PRP

About Microneedling with PRP

Revitalize your skin with this nurturing facial treatment designed to brighten your complexion and ignite your sparkle. Microneedling with PRP is the healing touch you need to take your skin texture from dull and rough to radiating and vibrant.

What Is Microneedling With PRP?

Combining microneedling (tiny piercings to the upper surface of the skin) with PRP from the patient’s own blood, this treatment increases the levels of collagen and elastin for smoother skin on the face. We use tiny, sterile microneedles to pierce the skin, and then we apply PRP to the area. The tiny piercings in the skin allow for the plasma to reach a deeper level of the skin, increasing the stimulation of the skin’s self-rejuvenation process.

What Is Microneedling With PRP Good For?

Microneedling with PRP is great for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, as well as minimizing the appearance of acne scars. It also helps to get rid of dark spots on the skin caused by sun damage or hormonal pigmentation.

How Often Should I Get Microneedling With PRP?

To achieve the best results, we recommend three to six sessions with four weeks between each session. Some patients may require more treatments depending on the severity of their skin issues.

Does Microneedling With PRP Hurt?

Patients may experience a slight stinging or burning sensation during treatment as the skin reacts to the procedure. However, the microneedles used for the treatment are very small and will only enter the outer layer of the skin minimizing any discomfort. We will apply a numbing cream to the area before treatment. After treatment, the skin may be a bit red which will subside after a couple of days.

How Do I Prepare for My Treatment?

Avoid excessive sun or heat exposure for a week before treatment and make sure to apply SPF 30 or higher daily. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as Aspirin, Advil, and Ibuprofen. You may use Tylenol. For five days before treatment, make sure to stop using any retinoids or glycolic acids. In the days leading up to the treatment, make sure to hydrate by drinking half a gallon of water daily.

What Should I Avoid After Treatment?

Avoid sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Do not use alcohol-based skincare products and stay away from vigorous exercise.
